Supporting Digital Transformation, FKM UMJ Students Participate in FORDIGI Summit 2023 Activities
Students from the Faculty of Public Health, University of Muhammadiyah Jakarta (FKM UMJ) officially took part in various series of activities held and initiated by the BUMN Digital Forum in collaboration with the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) and Microsoft in an effort to increase public awareness of technological advances, and build digital talent in the country. Through the Indonesian Digital Forum Conference with the theme " Digital Transformation Across The Nation ". This activity was held for 2 days on 26 – 27 September 2023 at the Ballroom of the Mulia Senayan Hotel, Jakarta.
FORDIGI Summit 2023 has four objectives, namely, increasing technological progress in Indonesia, developing the technology market, accommodating stakeholders in the technology sector, and creating opportunities for improving the technology market.
As a form of optimization and collaboration between BUMN, knowledge exchange with professionals and an innovation showcase , this event presents academics, students, industry leaders or players, as well as stakeholders from various sectors including technology, energy, banking, automotive, pharmaceuticals, transportation, with hopes for a massive movement to Go Digital in various companies, both state-owned and private.
Having previously been supported by the FORDIGI Goes to Campus series, the 2023 FORDIGI Summit was held with a series of activities consisting of a conference agenda , HACKATHON innovation awards , technology exhibition , and networking sessions for the participants. Four FKM UMJ students actively participated in this activity with a very interesting sub-topic. One of them is Anisa Hana, Aisyah Hanifah, Widya & Adipatra Kenaro.
The event began with a keynote address by BUMN minister Erick Thohir , Opening Speech by the Chair of the FORDIGI Summit 2023 and Telkom Indonesia Digital Business director Fajrin Rasyid. The event continued with a kick-off of collaboration with Microsoft from Microsoft Indonesia CEO Dharma Simorangkir, and Deputy for Human Resources Management, Technology and Information at the Ministry of BUMN Tedi Bharata.
BUMN Minister Erick Thohir revealed that Indonesia has an interest in encouraging the presence of BUMN human resources (HR) who master digital technology, "in the future, Indonesian BUMN needs twenty percent digital talent who are able to accelerate BUMN digital transformation," in his online remarks.
Fajrin Rasyid continued in his opening speech, "Technological advances have had a positive impact on Indonesia in various sectors. Many work and business processes have been transformed to become more effective and efficient." "Through interesting discussions, technology presentations, technology exhibitions and interactive sessions, FORDIGI Summit 2023 will play an important role in shaping the digital future of our society and increasing the technology market in Indonesia, coupled with collaboration with Microsoft," he said.
One of the digital synergies that is on the official agenda at the FORDIGI Summit 2023 this time is the kick-off of collaboration between Forgidi BUMN and Microsoft, " Kick Off Strategic Cooperation for State-Owned Digitalization and Technology Optimization FORDIGI BUMN and Microsoft", this kick-off is marked with a handshake by the CEO of Microsoft Indonesia Dharma Simorangkir and the chairman of the FORDIGI Summit 2023 and Director of Digital Business Telkom Indonesia Fajrin Rasyid, which was also witnessed directly by the Deputy for Human Resources, Technology and Information Tedi Bharata, along with the heads of other BUMN sectors.
Students from FKM UMJ actively participate in every activity, one of which is taking part in discussion panels, live shows from sponsors and speakers from both global companies and leading companies in Indonesia. Aisyah Hanifah, one of the participants who actively participated during the panel discussion session, expressed great hope, "Hopefully we students as the younger generation can help prove that the success of digital transformation in Indonesia is a must for all of us."
FORDIGI Summit 2023 was officially held to create an extraordinary platform for stakeholders to collaborate and exchange information through interesting interactive discussions.
