The challenge of being a teacher is creating interesting learning. Moreover, entering the 21st century forces teachers to develop creative learning models by utilizing science and technology. Communication, collaboration, critical and creative thinking are the foundations for developing creative and innovative learning. This was conveyed by the Dean of FIP UMJ, Prof. Dr. Iswan, M.Si., during his opening speech at the Master of Education public lecture.

"Teachers must be able to provide effective learning approach strategies, so that students do not get bored while learning. "Learning with a science and technology and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) approach is one of the elements that must be considered in creative and innovative learning in the twenty-first century," said Iswan.

Head of the FIP UMJ Master of Education Study Program, Dr. Muhamad Sofian Hadi, SS, M.Pd., expressed his hope that the participants could understand how to create creative, innovative and fun learning at the elementary school level. He also added that there would be continued collaboration with the South Tangerang City Education and Culture Office and this could be a stimulus for teachers to continue their education to a higher level.

Also attended were the Head of the Elementary School and Curriculum Division of South Tangerang City Education and Culture, H. Muhamad Masyhud, SE., Jatiasih District School Owners Working Group (KKPS), H. The speaker at the public lecture, lecturer from the University of Muhammadiyah Malang, Dr. Erna Yayuk, S.Pd, M.Pd, said that the creative and innovative learning model is to create a pleasant classroom atmosphere for students. According to him, learning should not be centered on the teacher but should give freedom to students.

Erna further explained that creating fun or creative classes is driven by effective learning. Effective learning is seen from two sides, teachers and students. To create effective learning for students, teachers must provide guidance by paying attention to conditions, methods and learning strategies. Then, this learning must be supported by effective teaching methods from the teacher's side. Students are invited to search, find, see the main problem, and try to solve the problem.

Furthermore, Erna, who is also known as a member of the Aisyiyah Research and Development Institute (LPPA), said, in line with what was conveyed by the Dean of FIP UMJ, that entering the 21st century, innovative learning must pay attention to several aspects, including integrating technology, active learning based on experience, collaborative learning. social, flexibility and personalization, critical thinking and creativity, continuous learning, data-driven insights, global perspective, teaching roles, and software skills integration.

Not only that, in the learning process there are several innovative models, namely flipped classroom, project-based learning, peer teaching and learning, gamification and holistic education, personalized learning, mixed learning, microlearning and experiential learning, virtual reality and augmented reality, learning AI-based adaptive, and neuroeducation.

"In conclusion, innovative learning requires collaboration between students and teachers, is HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) oriented, integrates information and communication technology, and is oriented towards twenty-first century learning skills," concluded Erna.
